Just about to leave for a little evening Mozart rendezvous at a cellist's house in New York. I am reminiscing about how, merely nine months ago, I was headed to this same cellist's house to partake in a small Bach Brandenburg gathering with some local musicians. Strangers then, and now, friends. Time and music are wonderful things. Beautiful, how people are brought together and shaped together, pulled and pushed together, through dedication to artistic craft. Beautiful, how music can be conversational, intimate, joyous, invigorating, longing. How it fills a void between emotions and words.
So incredibly happy to have my viola--and so many musicians--in my life!
